66. Deputy Barry Ward asked the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment the number of employees in each of the agencies under his Department's remit at the end of December 2025, broken down by grade, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22894/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department actively monitors the staffing levels of our agencies. Under Delegated Sanction, agencies must request sanction from my Department to hire new staff, up to and including, Principal Officer Higher grade. Agencies must request sanction from the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation to recruit at Assistant Secretary grade or higher. The total number of staff an agency may recruit is outlined in the Revised Estimate in the year prior.
Agencies under the aegis of my Department are required to report their staffing numbers on a quarterly basis. Data is collected, broken down by grade, and reported quarterly to the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.
I have attached the number of employees in each of the agencies under my Department's remit at the end of December 2025, broken down by grade, in tabular form in Appendix 1.
