As Minister of State with responsibility for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports, I wish to inform the Deputy that my Department published a document on 31 March 2026 detailing the recording of penalty points and driving disqualifications on driver records for 2025.
The document outlines the procedures for recording penalty points and disqualifications within the National Vehicle and Driver File (NVDF) database and includes detailed statistical information, which will be updated annually and published on an ongoing basis. The statistics the Deputy has requested for 2025 are available on page 4 of the document at the following link:
