278. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Social Protection if he will review the case of a person (details supplied); the status of their fuel allowance application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27403/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned applied for Fuel Allowance on 17 February 2026. They were awarded the fuel allowance on 5 March 2026 with effect from 20 February 2026.
The first weekly payment issued on 13 March 2026 along with arrears due from 20 February 2026. The person concerned was also advised that they will be paid by installments which is their preferred payment method after this fuel season.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
