391. Deputy Conor Sheehan asked the Minister for Transport if he plans to extend the upper age limit to 72 years for drivers of all minibuses up to 16-seaters; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28237/26]

I wish to advise that there are no restrictions in driver licensing legislation to prohibit the issuing of category D licences to drivers over the age of 24 or to those over 21 with a certificate of professional competence.
