As of the start of this month, 339 GPs hold a GMS contract in the HSE Local Health Offices for County Cork and there are a further 58 GPs there who do not hold a GMS contract but hold other HSE contract(s).
To sign up to the GMS scheme, the doctor must be registered on the Medical Council Specialist Division of the Register for General Practice and all contracted GPs meet this criterion.
