326. Deputy John Lahart asked the Minister for Education and Youth the way in which the State is planning to mark the 200th anniversary of the founding of the national school system of education (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [32013/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraSchools registers and roll books are the property of the individual school, and it is therefore a local decision on the management of such materials.
I am supportive of the specific proposal, and while the matter would be more relevant to the National Archives, I will write to my colleague in the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and ask that it be considered.
