Administration of the Eircom Superannuation Scheme is a matter for the Trustees of the Scheme, in accordance with the Eircom Superannuation Scheme Rules and the Eircom Pensions Accord 2010, which sets out the normal retirement age for employees of the Company. Alterations to the Scheme Rules are matters for Eircom Ltd in conjunction with the Trustees of the Scheme. I have no direct day-to-day involvement in the Scheme.

With regard to the general matter of employees remaining in employment until the pensionable age of 66, I am aware that the Employment (Contractual Retirement Ages) Act 2025, which is a matter for the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, was enacted last year but has not been commenced.
