Responsibility for the regulation and registration of nurses and midwives in Ireland rests with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
As Parliamentary Question No. 3408 pertained to the recognition of overseas applications for nurses and midwives, the PQ was referred to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for direct response to the Deputy. The NMBI have informed the Department that a response was issued to the Deputy on Friday 24th April.
Following the NMBI response, if the Deputy wishes to resubmit a new Parliamentary Question with the original query this can also be referred to the HSE to provide any outstanding information in relation to operational matters.
