Dáil Éireann Debate, Thursday - 7 May 2026
323. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport to provide a detailed breakdown of funding provided in 2026 by his Department for mental health and wellbeing support services for elite athletes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33901/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraSport Ireland, which is funded by my Department, is the statutory body with responsibility for the development of sport, increasing participation at all levels and raising standards. It also has responsibility for the allocation of funding across its various programmes.
I have referred the Deputy's question to Sport Ireland for direct reply in relation to this matter. I would ask the Deputy to inform my office if a reply is not received within 10 days.
