Amharc ar fhreagraRegulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on the provision of food information to consumers has been given legal effect to in national law by the Minister for Health in the European Union (Provision of Food Information to Consumers) Regulations 2014 (S.I. No. 556 of 2014). The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has overall responsibility for the enforcement of food law in Ireland, which is carried out by official agencies acting under service contract to the FSAI.
