431. Deputy Conor Sheehan asked the Minister for Transport the immediate measures that can be taken to address the chronic overcrowding and resultant health and safety issues on the 18:05 service from Limerick to Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35241/26]

As Minister of State, I have responsibility for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.The query raised by the Deputy is an operational matter for Iarnród Éireann.
