The Department of Education and Youth’s Summer Programme is an educational programme which is run during the summer period. Each year, all schools are given an opportunity to run a programme for children with complex special educational needs and those at risk of educational disadvantage.

Details of this year’s Summer Programme were published on 6th May 2026. The eligibility and terms and conditions of this year’s programme are the same as in 2025.

The registration portals, for both the school-based programme and the home-based programme, opened simultaneously on the 6th May 2026 and will remain open until 15th May 2026.
