I have been advised by the Garda authorities that community clinics are run as local initiatives to provide basic Garda services to meet community needs. Gardaí attached to Coolock Community Policing Unit run five Garda clinics, including the one located at Donaghmede Shopping Centre.

According to An Garda Síochána, 34 weekly clinics took place at Donaghmede Shopping Centre from January to August 2025. Due to limited attendance, this clinic now takes place on the second Tuesday of each month with four further clinics held from September to December 2025. A total of 38 clinics were held in 2025. I am advised that four clinics have been held from January to-date in 2026. On one exceptional occasion, due to operational demands, there was no Garda available to attend the clinic.

An Garda Síochána have further advised additional efforts are being made by Coolock Community Policing Unit to advertise the clinic within the local community.
