888. Deputy Seán Canney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a person (details supplied) will receive payment for the succession planning and advice grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38697/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe purpose of the Succession Planning Advice Grant, launched by my Department in September 2023, is to assist farmers in obtaining advice regarding succession planning from accredited professionals. This scheme is open for applications from January to November annually with payment tranches in Q1 the following year.
In respect of the named applicant, an application was received on 6th June 2024. Following processing after the deadline, a query was raised on 17th December 2024. Final documentation was received from the applicant on 27th January 2026. The application was subsequently approved and payment issued to the nominated account on 2nd March 2026.
