Neither I nor my Department comment on individual Protected Disclosure cases, in order to protect both the integrity of those cases and the identity of reporting persons.

Any report of potential wrongdoing which is received by my Department is handled in accordance with its Protected Disclosures Policies and Procedures, which align with both the Protected Disclosures Act 2014, as amended, and with best practice guidelines such as those issued by my colleague the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation.

These policies and procedures require that all such cases are addressed until they reach an appropriate conclusion within the Protected Disclosures framework.
