I am advised by the Office of Public Works (OPW) that there are currently 69 surplus vacant properties owned by the OPW, consisting of 50 buildings and 19 sites. The OPW does not obtain market values of surplus vacant properties / sites until these properties / sites are being prepared for disposal, by intra-state transfer or for sale on the open market.

A total of 55 properties / sites have been sold since 2023 generating a total income of €21,899,187 for the exchequer.

A list of the surplus vacant properties and the current status of each is attached at Appendix 1
