Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Youth further to previous correspondence (details supplied) if she will provide an update on plans to secure funding for the continuation of the pilot programme beyond December 2026; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe WALK Transitions Pilot programme funded through the Dormant Accounts Fund since 2022 will finish this year. Total funding of €2m has been provided to WALK over four years to deliver this support.
A proposal received from WALK for funding for a new programme for the next four years is under consideration by a number of Departments.
Following these considerations any decision to fund the new programme will form part of the estimates process.
