290. Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Transport if the National Vehicle and Driver File Bill 2026 has been drafted; the reason for the delay; if the Bill will be brought before Dail Éireann before the summer recess in July. [45143/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe General Scheme of the National Vehicle and Driver File Bill 2026 is currently with the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel for drafting.
The Bill is a priority for publication in the current legislative term. While drafting has taken longer than anticipated, it is expected that the Bill will be published shortly, with progression through the Oireachtas taking place in the Autumn session.
