It is not possible for the department to provide any information on whether or how many PQs received in the department are AI generated.  PQs are submitted to the Questions office who update them to the shared service PO system, from which there are send to departments for answer.  My department does not use AI to answer PQs.

The time taken to answer a PQ can vary considerably, depending on whether it is a priority, oral or written PQ, the complexity of the question, and the extent of coordination required within the Department and across the Department’s aegis bodies.  The cost associated with this would then vary further depending on the grade mix involved in answering the PQ in different policy and scheme areas.  Therefore, It is not possible to provide an average cost of answering PQs in the department.
