396. Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Social Protection the first year and full year cost of increasing all disability-contingent payments by €5. [46765/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe estimated full year cost of increasing disability-contingent payments by €5 per week is €64.2 million.
This estimate includes the following schemes: Disability Allowance, Invalidity Pension, Partial Capacity Benefit, Injury Benefit, Incapacity Supplement, Disablement Pension and Blind Person's Benefit.
It should be noted that these costings include proportionate increases for qualified adults and for those on reduced rates of payment, where relevant. It should also be noted that these costings are subject to change in the context of emerging trends and the associated revision of the estimated numbers of recipients for 2026.
