Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht the estimated cost of increasing the board membership of the proposed reformed Údarás na Gaeltachta under the Údarás na Gaeltachta (Amendment) Bill 2025 to a total of 26 remunerated members. Amharc ar fhreagraÚdarás na Gaeltachta publishes an Annual Report an Accounts which features a Governance Statement and Board Members' Report and is laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas each year following submission to Government. This statement outlines a schedule of attendance of Board and Committee meetings which includes the fees and expenses paid to each member in that year.
The information requested by the Deputy is not maintained by my Department. However, the information provided in the Annual Report and Accounts can be used to estimate the cost associated with increasing Board membership.
