Deputy Michael Cahill asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment to appoint additional staff to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) office in Cahersiveen, County Kerry to cater for the increase in applications/funding, to ensure that all applications are processed in a timely manner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe staff allocation of the SEAI has increased substantially in recent years from 95 in 2020 to 265 in 2026.
The hiring and management of staff, as well as the deployment of staff to particular locations, is an operational matter for the SEAI.
The SEAI has established a specific email address for queries from Oireachtas members so that such queries can be addressed promptly and in line with the SEAI’s objective to deliver services to the highest standards. The email address is oireachtas@seai.ie.
