Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation the date on which the Passport Service first commenced paying rent for the new office premises on the Quays in Cork; and the total amount paid in rent for that premises to date. The Office of Public Works (OPW), in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs, is progressing the development of new office accommodation for the Passport Service in Cork at Navigation Square, Albert Quay. The OPW has not commenced paying rent for the new office premise.
