391. Deputy Roderic O'Gorman asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine whether his Department has sought an allocation from the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund for the agricultural sector in line with the Programme for Government commitment; the amount sought or secured, if any; the schemes, measures or projects for which such funding is intended; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has secured an overall Capital Allocation of €1.625 billion for 2026 - 2030 as part of the Government's National Development Plan, which incorporates the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund. This allocation will allow my Department to continue to support economic, social and environmental development in our rural and coastal communities.

The funding will contribute to improved competitiveness, including through research and innovation, capital investment at industry level to support international market diversification and investment to meet climate and environmental obligations.
