Ceist:

553. Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Health the total number of GP doctors operating in each county at present and compared with five years ago; and the future projected numbers given the increase in the number of places in medicine, in tabular form. [48744/26]

As this is a service matter, I have asked the HSE to reply to the Deputy directly as soon as possible.

Please note that as GPs are private practitioners, accordingly it may only be possible for the HSE to respond in relation to HSE contracted GPs.
