The Offshore Wind Delivery Taskforce, comprising 16 Government Departments and agencies, was established in 2022 to drive delivery of offshore renewable energy and capture potential economic and business opportunities by developing the sector.

In Q2 2025, industry representatives were invited to attend Full Taskforce meetings and have attended since. Taskforce-Industry bi-lateral meetings had previously been held approximately every 2 months.

In all, there have been 24 full Taskforce meetings to date. Details of each meeting, including meeting minutes, are available to view on the Taskforce webpage: www.gov.ie/en/department-of-climate-energy-and-the-environment/publications/offshore-wind-delivery-taskforce/

The Taskforce is not divided into subgroups per se, but does comprise of eight Workstreams. Two to three Workstreams, undertaking complementary activities, are combined to form a Pillar. There are three Pillars. As and when Workstreams meet is a matter for Workstream leads and is not monitored by the Taskforce Project Management Office. Pillar meetings occur approximately on a monthly basis.

At the end of each year an Annual Review is compiled which sets out progress made over the previous year and key actions to realise in the year ahead. This is also available on the Taskforce webpage.
