374. Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Education and Youth whether funding has been provided to a school project (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [51406/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs previously advised the project was approved to enter the Department’s pipeline of school buildings providing a 2-classroom special educational needs base and 2 special education tuition rooms.
The Stage 2b Post Planning Report is currently awaited and once received, will be subject to a comprehensive technical and cost review by the Department. All projects, including this one, are subject to the full due diligence requirements set out in my department’s infrastructure guidelines. Managing timing, scope, and cost is crucial to staying within budgetary limits for the overall programme.
Progression to the next phase is contingent on the project being assessed and advanced in accordance with the National Development Plan prioritisation framework. The project remains within the school building programme pipeline and will continue to be managed under these arrangements.
