622. Deputy Donna McGettigan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of WTE qualified financial accountants currently working within his Department as of 29 June 2026, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [51719/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department engages in workforce planning to assess its current and future recruitment needs. The educational qualifications required and the relevant selection criteria are reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis to ensure that they meet these needs. Tailored to specific grades, my Departments recruitment campaigns invite candidates who hold qualifications in many disciplines, including accountancy.
Full membership of a prescribed accountancy body supervised by the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) was required on the competitions for Professional Accountant in my Department .
There are 4 WTE Staff members who are recorded in the Professional Accountant Grade as of the 29/06/2026.
