I can confirm to the Deputy that there are a number of programmes funded by my Department which promote North-South exchange between young people and youth organisations.
The Peace Plus Programme's Shared Learning Together pillar funds projects in school civic exchanges via the shared education for positive innovation programme and supports the education of children and young people of different backgrounds.
The Shared Island funding available to my Department also funds the Creative Connections programme, which runs on an all-island basis.
Cooperation Ireland also receives funding to support opportunities for learning and understanding among young people and cross-border leadership programmes.
My Department also funds organisations including Cinemagic, Chemistry Olympiad Ireland, Maths week and the Pushkin Trust for work that promotes North-South exchange on the island.
