339. Deputy Brian Brennan asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality if assistance can be offered to a preschool (details supplied); the reason funding was ceased; if AIM level 7 funding will be reinstated; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [53933/26]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) is a model of supports designed to ensure that children with additional needs can access the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme. The goal of AIM is to empower Early Learning and Care (ELC) providers to deliver an inclusive preschool experience, ensuring that every eligible child can meaningfully participate in the ECCE Programme and reap the benefits of high-quality early learning and care through universal and targeted supports.
Pobal, who administer the AIM programme on the Department’s behalf, have informed the Department about this case. The issue has been resolved to the satisfaction of the service provider. Pobal will notify the service about this decision in the coming days.
