An Coimisiún Pleanála is the national independent statutory body with responsibility for the determination of planning appeals and direct applications for strategic infrastructure and other developments under Planning and Development Act 2024, as amended, and certain other Acts

There are currently 16 SHD applications which were remitted by the High Court for reconsideration, and which remain undecided. Due to the nature of remitted cases and the complexities involved An Coimisiún Pleanála is not in a position to provide a timeline for decision on these applications.
