Data Availability Note

Export statistics by destination market are not available at County Cork level. Accordingly, it is not possible to isolate or provide definitive data on exports from County Cork to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, Australia, or key ASEAN markets. The figures supplied by my Department therefore represent Ireland's exports at national level and are provided as the nearest available measure of trade with the requested markets.

The data have been compiled by the Central Statistics Office (C.S.O) from a combination of CSO merchandise trade statistics and CSO international services trade statistics. Goods trade data are available through 2025 for the markets examined. However, the latest country-level services trade data published by the CSO are generally available only up to 2024.

ASEAN Markets

In relation to ASEAN markets, the figures provided focus on Singapore and Vietnam, which represent the most significant ASEAN trading partners identified from the available data. While trade data exist for a number of other ASEAN economies, the values involved are comparatively small and, in many cases, are not of sufficient scale to materially affect the overall analysis. Accordingly, Singapore and Vietnam are presented as the principal ASEAN markets for the purposes of this response. This approach is consistent with the available trade evidence and reflects the most significant ASEAN export destinations for Ireland.
