Deputy Eoghan Kenny asked the Minister for Transport whether any disciplinary, performance-management or other accountability process has been undertaken in respect of the management of the failed Iarnród Éireann Traffic Management System project; if so, the number of such processes undertaken; if not, the reasons; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Dublin Transport Authority Act 2008, the National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA), including the National Train Control Centre, or NTCC. The NTA also manages the wider portfolio of public transport investment nationally.
