During the 2024/2025 school year, Oide recorded 247,347 interactions with teachers and school leaders, including over 205,000 interactions at Oide professional learning experiences, over 34,000 interactions through school support engagements and over 7,600 interactions through representation of Oide at external events. With the exception of Child Protection, there is no mandatory professional learning delivered by Oide.
Substitution or school-closure is provided for where considered necessary and where it is intended that all relevant teachers will attend, such as for national implementation of new/revised curricula/specifications. This is provided for during school time. It is important to note that while such events are not mandatory, full attendance is desirable.
These figures represent interactions, rather than a contact with an individual teacher. Some professional learning experiences take place over two days, with the same teacher likely to attend on both days. In such cases, attendance on each day is recorded as a separate interaction.
