Deputy John Connolly asked the Minister for Health if her attention has been drawn to approval that has been granted for additional nursing home beds at a nursing home (details supplied) ; the reason these additional beds have not yet become operational; if outstanding issues are preventing their opening; the steps being taken by her Department, the HSE and other relevant agencies to facilitate the opening of these beds; and the timeframe within which it is expected that the additional beds will be available for residents.
