The school to which the Deputy refers was approved to enter my departments pipeline of school building projects under the Additional Schools Accommodation (ASA) Scheme to provide ten mainstream classrooms (prefab replacement), three Special Education Tuition (SET) rooms, two Special Education Needs (SEN) classrooms and ancillary works.

My Department approved this project to progress to Stage 2b in October 2024 and it remains at that stage. The project has since advanced through the planning process and the Department understands that planning permission has been secured. My Department is currently awaiting the Stage 2b report. Upon receipt, the submission will be considered in accordance with the Department's Infrastructure Guidelines and established approval processes.

The accommodation requirements of this school will continue to be considered as part of the Department's ongoing prioritisation of capital investments across the school building programme. The delivery of projects under the programme is managed within the funding of the National Development Plan, having regard to overall programme priorities and available resources.
