In order to receive their equipment, Members must complete and sign a data processing agreement, the acceptable usage policy and a hardware agreement contract.

Equipment

A TD is entitled to three suites of equipment and a Senator is entitled to two suites of equipment.

A suite of computer equipment comprises:

• PC or laptop
• Managed print service device for printing, scanning and copying. Access to a managed print service device is provided for party staff who are not attributed to a Member.
• Oireachtas email account
• Internet access

Each Member is also entitled to one tablet device.

Software

Each PC and laptop is encrypted and includes the following standard software as standard:

• Windows 10
• Microsoft Office 365
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration
• Antivirus

Each Member may choose to locate the equipment either in the Oireachtas office or in a constituency office. Equipment will be delivered to Oireachtas offices as soon as possible after rooms have been assigned. By arrangement, laptops can be collected from the ICT unit.
