Ceist:

143 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the arrangements which have been made by her Department to enable the deaf citizens of this country to follow a course at third level; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that special arrangements for students with hearing difficulties are made by at least some third-level institutions and that there is sufficient flexibility in the mode of teaching to allow such students to avail of the services of these institutions.
