128. Deputy Conor D. McGuinness asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the status of the application by Waterford City and County Council for a mixed tenure development at Fairlane, Dungarvan to include affordable, cost-rental, and social housing units; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department granted funding approval-in principle to Waterford City and County Council's proposed development of 50 new build social homes at at Fairlane, Dungarvan on 23 March 2024. It is now a matter for the Council to advance the design of the project and take it through the planning process. The social housing element will be funded via the Social Housing Investment Programme.
With regard to the mixed tenure element, my Department has yet to receive funding applications for Affordable Purchase or Cost Rental via the Affordable Housing Fund (AHF), or Cost Rental via the Cost Rental Equity Loan (CREL) funding related to this project.
