Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation the number of data breaches reported by the National Shared Service Office to the Data Protection Commissioner in each of the years 2021 to 2024, and to date in 2025, respectively; if the National Shared Service Office has been audited by the Data Protection Commissioner; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An audit of the NSSO was carried out by the Data Protection Commissioner in 2017/2018. All recommendations were acted upon and informed the development of the NSSO Data Protection Policy.
