John Paul O'Shea

Ceist:

96. The General Scheme of the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) (No.2) Bill 2025 is currently being developed. The exemptions from current rent increase restriction in Rent Pressure Zones (RPZs) under the Residential Tenancies Acts 2004 to 2024 will inform the development of the impending General Scheme and the drafting of the upcoming Bill.

The substantial renovation and refurbishment of rental dwellings is to be welcomed to benefit tenants, landlords and the environment.
