540. Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Social Protection the estimated cost of restoring all once off supports paid to disabled people in 2025 for one further year, itemised by each support including the disability cost-of-living payment, the fuel lump sum, the living alone lump sum, electricity credits and double week bonuses. The only cost of living payment made by the Department of Social Protection in 2025 was the Christmas Bonus payment which was paid in the week beginning December 1st 2025.

The estimated cost of paying the Christmas Bonus payment to people receiving Disability Allowance, Blind Pension and Invalidity Pension in 2026 is €65.6m.

It should be noted that this costing is based on the estimated number of recipients for each of the above mentioned schemes for 2026, with the payment being on the same basis as 2025, and is subject to change in light of emerging trends and subsequent variations in the number of recipients.

Electricity credits are the responsibility of the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
