Ceisteanna (2129)

Cathal Crowe

Ceist:

2129. Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Minister for Health given that Donegal patients who were travelling to Northern Ireland or Beaumont hospital for treatment are now being sent to Galway, the reason treatment in Northern Ireland is no longer available, forcing patients to travel longer distances; whether accommodation costs for such patients will be covered given they could previously avail of free accommodation in a centre (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible.
