Deputy Cathal Crowe asked the Minister for Health if a reimbursement case has been made for the use of drugs (details supplied) in Ireland to the relevant authority; if so, the stage the drug approval is at; when a decision is likely to be taken on whether such drugs will or will not be reimbursed; whether supply of these drugs is currently being reimbursed by any Irish hospital; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines and medical devices; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
