Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Health if she is aware of findings by public health expert (details supplied) two years ago which pointed to the need for a full occupational cohort study of mortality in the Air Corps; whether they have been asked to carry out such a study by the Defence Forces or the Department of Defence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. This Question should be directed to my colleague, the Minister for Public expenditure, infrastructure, Public service reform and Digitalisation as the Civil Service occupational health service and the Office of the Civil Service Chief Medical Officer fall under his remit. Monitoring of occupational health risk is conducted by that Department.
