Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment the number of meetings of the Angling Consultative Council of Ireland (ACCI)/Angling Advisory Group (AAG) that have taken place this calendar year; the number in total envisaged for 2026; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Angling Consultative Council of Ireland was renamed the Angling Advisory Group (AAG) in August 2024.
The AAG has met twice to date in 2026, on the 15 January and 16 April. As per the AAG Terms of Reference, the Group shall meet at a frequency as decided by its membership but not less than twice a year. The next AAG meeting is scheduled for September and it is anticipated that four meetings will be held in 2026.
