Deputy Mark Ward asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration if funding for community prison links workers will be transferred from the Department of Justice; Home Affairs and Migration to the HSE; the timeline this will happen; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department acts only as a conduit for prison-link projects and I am advised that they are currently funded chiefly by the Department of Health. The Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration has no role in monitoring the projects, dealing with funding requests, or looking at any of their day-to-day activities.
The Deputy may wish to put a question to the Minister for Health in this regard.
