In June 2023, the Government announced the second and final tranche of funding under the €100 million Capital Investment Scheme for the Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products, which is administered by Enterprise Ireland and jointly funded by my Department and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The scheme supports strategic capital investment projects aimed at enhancing competitiveness, strengthening operational capability and supporting product and market diversification within the agri-food sector. The following County Cork-based food-processing businesses received capital investment assistance under that scheme since 2023:

Grant Approved

Ingredient Solutions Ltd., Mallow

Market diversification project

€2.8 million

Staunton Foods Ltd.

Market diversification project

€1.8 million

Dairygold Co-operative Society

The Capital Investment Scheme forms part of the Government's wider commitment to supporting the long-term sustainable development of the agri-food sector and enabling firms to respond to changing market conditions, enhance productivity and expand into new international markets. Across the country, the scheme supported 34 projects with combined public and private investment of more than €420 million.
