Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Transport the obligations on app dispatch operators to show a taxi driver the exact final fare charged to their passenger (details supplied); the protections that exist for the driver who correctly entered the lower meter amount in an event where a passenger claims to have been charged more than the meter; which document is the authoritative expense record where the app transaction and taximeter receipt contain different amounts; and if issues relating to these questions will be addressed in the current review of dispatch-operator regulation.
